The SWISSVAX 2-component system

Unlike conventional polishes, SWISSVAX waxes contain no abrasives and can be safely applied to all paint finishes, high-gloss lacquered fine woods, as well as gelcoat surfaces. The 2-component system consists of a cleaner and a wax. Both components are easy to use and leave no white residue on rubber, railings or chrome fittings.

Carnauba wax: Natural protection for your boat

Carnauba is the hardest, purest and most transparent natural wax in the world. It is derived from the leaves of the Brazilian fan palm “Copernica prunifera” and features a high melting point of 80 to 87°C, ensuring stability even under intense sunlight. SWISSVAX formulations contain a high proportion of carnauba wax, between 40% and 76% by volume, providing maximum UV protection and preventing surface fading.

Cleaning and caring for GRP surfaces

Glass fiber reinforced plastic, GRP, is a widely used material in boat building, valued for its strength and low weight. The outer gelcoat layer protects the GRP but may chalk and lose its appearance due to UV exposure. Regular care with the right polishes and waxes can slow this process and protect the surface from weathering.

For gentle cleaning, we recommend SWISSVAX Gelcoat Cleaner Fluid, which contains no abrasives and removes impurities gently. Afterwards, SWISSVAX Marine Longevity Wax for colored painted surfaces provides long-lasting protection and intense gloss.

Cleaning and caring for wooden surfaces
